Welcome to the Alliance Counseling Center Website and thank you for exploring our services. Choosing a mental health professional can be a difficult task. You or your loved one is hurting and you want to find someone you can be comfortable with, someone you can come to trust. I'd like to share a bit about myself to help you decide if I can be a good match for you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Wisconsin and the Clinical Director of Alliance Counseling Center. I achieved a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1985. I completed my graduate work at the University of South Florida, achieving a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology. In 1989, I moved to Philadelphia, where I lived and worked for 11 years before my husband and I decided to bring our family back to our roots in Wisconsin. In February of 1991, I joined the Alliance Counseling Center with the intention of bringing quality mental health care to the Lake Country Communities.
With over 14 years of experience in the fields of Alcohol & Drug and Mental Health Treatment, I have worked in a variety of both inpatient and outpatient settings. While the majority of my experience has been in providing direct clinical care (therapy, testing, education), I have also been involved in professional training, clinical supervision, program development, and program management. Before moving back to Wisconsin, I was the Director of Residential, Partial-Hospitalization, and Dual Diagnosis Services at Livengrin Foundation, a drug and alcohol treatment center. Throughout my career, I have held a strong commitment to providing effective treatment for the unique needs of women. That’s why I’m so proud of the gender specific Alcohol and Drug Treatment programming we have developed at Alliance. (Read more about my Women’s Recovery Group).
Recognizing that optimal health and well-being requires an integration of mind, body and spirit, I utilize a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on the unique needs and goals of the individual. I work with older adolescents and adults, providing individual, family and couples counseling. My goal is to help you help yourself.
